Some interesting things you can train (or trick) your body to do

I was on StumbleUpon the other day and I came across this article that had these tricks for your body. Basically a few techniques that can come in handy someday. The best ones from the list were the following.

1. Listen and hear things better- Your left and right ears each hear sounds differently from the other. If your trying to hear someone talk for example at a party lean in with your left ear, its better at picking up the rapid rhythms of speech. If your ever trying to hear music in the background and need a better listen listen with your right ear, because its better at picking up music tones.

2. Cough during shots to ease the pain- If you have a fear of needles, which I do not have by the way I just thought this was an interesting trick, cough when your geting stabbed and you should feel less pain. The reason is because the temporary rise in pressure in the chest and spinal canal, inhibiting the pain conducting structures in the spinal cord.

3. Clear your stuffed nose- I hate having stuffy noses but I haven't tried this yet. Its sounds a little weird but what your supposed to do is thrust your tongue to the top of your mouth

4.Ease tooth ache pain- Rub ice on the back of your hand, on the V-shaped webbed area between your thumb and index finger. Its said to lessen pain by 50% compared to using no ice. The nerve pathways at the base of the V stimulate an area of the brain that blocks pain signals from the face hands that are sent to the brain.

There were a few more that we one that list as well but I didn't want to list them all. But you can check out the article here.
