The reason they cost so much has to do with this story:
The story of Cone denim began 1891, when two brothers founded Cone Export and Commission Company. By 1905 they established a mill that would become renowned for setting the standard for quality denim. Cone Denim's White Oak mill, named after a 200 year old tree on its grounds, continues to craft the most authentic denim in the world. Regarded as a stronghold of textile history, White Oak remains an integral resource for the high quality of its denim, its archives and the original shuttle looms that still weave selvedge denim to this day. In 1915 Cone began supplying denim to Levis and so began the long term commitment to one another. This jean is a celebration, replicating the combination of Cone fabric and the fit and archival details of the 501XX from 1915. 2 back pockets with exposed rivets, Cinch-back, Suspender buttons, Two Horse leather patch, Crotch rivet, Plain selvage, Single needle Arcuate.
